🎬 Homeschool Short Film Competition Rules 🎬 1. Eligibility ✅ Open to all homeschool students and families. ✅ Films can be made individually or as a team. 2. Film Length 🎥 3–7 minutes (including credits). 3. Content Guidelines 📜 Keep it family-friendly (no inappropriate language, violence, or themes). ✝️ Honoring Christian values is encouraged. 🎭 Any genre is allowed—comedy, drama, documentary, stop-motion, etc. 4. Filming & Editing 📱 Any device can be used (phone, tablet, camera). 🎞️ Simple editing is allowed but not required. 🎶 If using music, it must be royalty-free or original. 5. Submission Guidelines 📩 Films must be submitted by May 1 to Leslie Puiras via Email, Google Drive, Youtube Etc. 🎭 Must include a title and short description of the film. 6. Judging Criteria 🏆 Films will be judged on: ⭐ Creativity & Originality (30%) ⭐ Storytelling & Engagement (30%) ⭐ Production Effort (20%) ⭐ Overall Impact (20%) 7. Awards & Recognition 🏅 Categories may include Best Film, Best Story, Funniest Film, Most Creative, etc.
🎤 Homeschool Talent Show Rules 🎤 1. Eligibility ✅ Open to all CHEN homeschool students. ✅ Solo or group performances are welcome. 2. Performance Length 🎭 2–5 minutes per act (including setup). 3. Content Guidelines 📜 Keep it family-friendly (no inappropriate language, themes, or gestures). ✝️ Acts that honour Christian values are encouraged. 🎭 All kinds of talents are welcome—singing, dancing, illusions/tricks, musical instruments, skits, poetry, juggling, etc. 4. Performance Guidelines 🎶 If using music, it must be clean and appropriate. 📢 All spoken performances should be clear and easy to hear. 🔧 Bring your own props, instruments, or any required equipment. 🎤 Microphones & speakers will be available. If you require any additional equipment please speak to Catherine. 5. Registration & Participation 📩 Participants must sign up in advance by May 1st by registering with the form below as well as submitting a video recording of the act. Audition does not have to be the exact performance but should demonstrate the kind of talent you intend to share. Awards & Recognition 🏅 Categories may include Best Overall, Most Unique Talent, Best Stage Presence, Crowd Favourite, Best Musical Act, etc.
🎨🔬 Homeschool Project Fair Guidelines 📖🎭 1. Eligibility ✅ Open to all homeschool students. ✅ Projects can be individual or group efforts. 2. Project Types 📌 Students can showcase any work they’ve produced, including but not limited to: 🎨 Artwork (drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc.) 🔬 Science projects & experiments 📖 Essays, creative writing, & poetry 🛠️ Models, dioramas, & hands-on projects 📚 Informational displays & posters 💡 Any other project that reflects effort & learning 3. Display Guidelines 📏 Projects may be displayed on a tabletop or hung on a display board (please specify space needs when signing up). 🔌 Electrical outlets may not be available, so plan accordingly. 📋 Each project must include a title and a short description explaining the work. 4. Registration & Setup 📩 Participants must sign up in advance by May 1st. 🛠️ Setup time will be from 5pm-5:45pm, and takedown must be completed by 9:15pm. 5. Encouragement & Celebration 🎉 This is a non-competitive event, designed to celebrate the creativity, hard work, and learning of our homeschool students. 👀 Families and friends are encouraged to walk through, explore, and appreciate the projects on display.
