About Us
CHEN was formed to help meet the needs of teaching parents and those interested in finding out more about home education in the York Region area of Ontario.
Christian Home Educators Network is a non- denominational, Christ-centred group committed to providing information, outreach and support to anyone desiring it.
We support Christian, Biblical values, the traditional family and home education. Anyone is welcome to become a member however, you must agree to respect and adhere to these values at all CHEN related meetings, events and activities as well as on our various online platforms.

Michelle Kwendo
Organizer
Michelle has been a part of our CHEN community for 5 years and is at the beginning of her homeschooling journey with her two little boys. She joins the leadership team having served many years as an Ontario Certified Teacher. Michelle has a passion and affinity for bringing homeschool families together through events and learning opportunities.
Catherine Dellerba
Treasurer, Organizer
Catherine has homeschooled for over 15 years. She has taught all four of her children elementary and high school. Two of her children have graduated with two still working away. Her eldest has recently graduated university. Catherine is passionate about discipling and mentoring women and mothers and empowering Christian families.
Leslie Puiras
Organizer, Web management and Event promotion
Leslie has been homeschooling for 11 years and is proud mother to 4 children aged 4-14. Her passion is producing resources that support Christian values and help equip homeschooling families. She loves connecting people through our quarterly members newsletter and hosting events for the homeschool community.
